What makes JAM Unique?

• JAM can be used by any jobseeker anywhere in India. Before long, JAM will be available to jobseekers in USA/UK, followed by other countries.

Who will benefit most from JAM?

• There are vast regions all over the world, where there is very poor internet penetration. Jobseekers living in these regions cannot access a job portal and conduct job searches, everyday.
• However, most of such rural jobseekers do own a mobile handset. But most of such mobiles are low-end / non-GPRS connected, incapable of accessing jobsites.
• Eg:
  India has only 1% internet penetration (only 81 million internet users) but 59% mobile penetration (670 million mobile connections - Sept 2010).

How does JAM Work?

How many job alerts can I get / apply for everyday?

• Every morning, we match / find / store, a max. of 50 jobs in your "My Job Alert" page.
• This means, yesterday's job alerts may not be found in "My Job Alert" page today.Some jobs might have got expired / deleted.
• Hence, it is best to "pull / view / apply" against matched / suitable jobs on a daily - basis.
• Due to limitation of small screen of mobile, only 1 or 2 jobs are shown at a time.
• You can however, view all the matched jobs by repeating Step 1 SMS
            "jam[space]alert"

When will JAM not work?

• are not registered as a jobseeker.
• have given a wrong / invalid mobile number while registering.
• send SMS from any mobile no. other than the one provided in your registration.
• are using any third party SMS gateway / free SMS software.

How much do I pay for JAM?

• Nothing. our JAM service is absolutely free for all registered jobseekers.
• Of course, you will need to pay the prevailing SMS charges to your Mobile Service Provider (MSP), from whom you can buy a BULK SMS package.
